The documentary film offers an insight into the history of the Kolo Slavuj ensemble from Vienna, its dancers, musicians and choreographers, and presents portraits of the people who have invested a great deal of time and artistic commitment into the ensemble's success.
It also highlights the significance the ensemble has had not only for its members over the past decades, but also its influence on Croatian traditional culture in Austria and beyond. Today, KOLO SLAVUJ is made up of several hundred people who, over the past five and a half decades, have worked as dancers, musicians, singers, choreographers, arrangers, composers, wardrobe staff, make-up artists, stage managers, media technicians and in many other, less visible roles.
The programme is realised in collaboration with the International Folklore Festival (MSF) and the Cultural and Information Centre in Zagreb.
Admission to the screening is free.
