The Pusher trilogy was a huge success in Denmark and around the world, catapulting director Nicolas Winding Refn and the actors to stardom. Each film follows a different character: the first is dedicated to small-time dealer Frank, the second sequel follows Tonny, and the third focuses on dealer Milo.

Tonny has just been released from prison and is now trying to regain his self-respect and reintegrate into normal life. He owes money to a fellow inmate, who has warned him but given him enough time, knowing that Tonny must first mend his relationship with his father—the unscrupulous boss of the local underworld, whom Tonny has disappointed many times.

Tonny decides to reach out to his father, who remains cold toward him but allows him to do some small jobs for him. Tonny learns from a friend that his father has a child with a local prostitute named Charlotte, and when she shows up, she demands that Tonny pay her child support. On top of his existing problems, Tonny reconnects with drug lord Milo, for whom he delivers a large shipment of heroin—a move that will further complicate Tonny’s already troubled life...
