The Pusher trilogy was a huge success in Denmark and around the world, catapulting director Nicolas Winding Refn and the actors to stardom. Each film follows a different character: the first is dedicated to small-time dealer Frank, the second sequel follows Tonny, and the third focuses on dealer Milo.

Milo, a Serb living in Denmark, is one of the key figures in the local drug scene. He also runs a Serbian restaurant where his compatriots work—and who are also his most frequent customers. Although it seems that his main concern at the moment is organizing his daughter’s birthday party, Milo is expecting a large shipment of heroin by boat. When it turns out that the shipment consists of a different type of drug, he hesitates over whether to sell it. The birthday party is in full swing, but Milo must face other problems—what to do with the drugs. This will lead to complications that will set off a chain of unexpected problems, unwanted characters, and, ultimately, murder...
