The Initiative for a Free Palestine and Dokukino invite you to a screening of the film Gaza Eyewitnesses, based on the testimonies of people from Gaza.
This is not just a film about Gaza – this is a film from Gaza. It is a film project by Palestinian artists who convey personal stories and experiences that together create a moving picture of death and life, despair and irony, horror and humanity. Born amid genocide, the film remains a lasting testament to the destructive forces of occupation and war, but also to the Palestinian people's unwavering will to live and survive.
Following the screening, there will be an online discussion with Hossam Al Madhoun, a Palestinian actor, director, writer and drama educator who lives and works in Gaza. With almost three decades of theatrical and social engagement, Hossam has over 25 years of experience in humanitarian work and currently works as a child protection specialist at the MAAN Development Centre in Gaza. The discussion is moderated by Nancy Abdel Sakhi, a member of the Free Palestine Initiative. Admission is free.
