The final part of the triptych that Nicolas Philibert began with the film On the Adamant (winner of the Golden Bear at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival), and continued with the film Averroès & Rosa Parks, is arguably the most intimate and moving of the three films. Immersing himself in the world of a Parisian psychiatric centre, the director follows resourceful carers as they help patients suddenly faced with a domestic problem – a broken appliance. Through the resolution of the centre's users' everyday problems, the film captures profound and intimate conversations that bring a sense of security and dignity.
The film is being screened as part of the Rendez-vous au cinéma event, organised by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and the French Institute.
