Poezija to Go is a project dedicated to encouraging young people, and all those who feel young at heart, to read more poetry. It was launched by writer and poet Sonja Zubović, inspired by her love of language and guided by the motto: “Poetry is a laboratory of language, and language is the nucleus of national identity.” The project expanded to social media in 2015 and has since achieved strong visibility and sustained popularity.
In addition to its online activities, the poetry platform also organises live events – meet-ups with poets. At previous gatherings, distinguished Croatian authors have recited their poetry: Diana Burazer, Lana Derkač, Andrijana Škunca, Drago Štambuk, Lidija Bajuk, Božica Jelušić, Ljerka Car Matutinović, Enerika Bijač, Miroslav Kirin, Ivana Šojat, Borben Vladović, Adrijana Kos Lajtman, Evelina Rudan, Davor Šalat, Zvjezdana Jembrih, Miroslav Mićanović, Branko Čegec, Božica Brkan, Ivan Herceg, Ivan Babić, Tomislav Domović, Dražen Katunarić, Tomislav Šovagović, Lada Žigo, Sanja Lovrenčić, Vanda Mikšić, Stanka Đurić, Kemal Mujičić Artnman, Ludwig Bauer, Lidija Dujić, Davor Gregurić, the late Irena Vrkljan, the late Robert Roklicer and many others.
The latest Poezija to go - Meeting Poets will take place on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at the Cultural and Information Centre (KIC) at Preradovićeva 5, starting at 7 pm. All interested can follow the livestream on the Poezija to go Facebook page!
Taking part in this twenty-seventh meeting with poets are: Sibila Petlevski, Darija Žilić, Enes Kišević, Zorka Jekić, Tin Prpić and Sonja Zubović.
The musical part of the programme will feature Ivan Kapec.
