The second block of short films Sweet Cherries, presents five intriguing works about female experiences, corporeality, belonging and unequal relationships. In the fiction film Black Shawl (Kamila Boichenko, Poland/Ukraine), two women in a refugee camp find closeness as they confront their wartime losses, while the docu-fiction If You Don't Like It, Look Away (Margaux Fournier, France) follows a group of retired women on a Marseille beach as they talk about love, sexuality and ageing.

The experimental film fourrer un jet d'eau (ange, Canada) explores moments of physical intimacy and fantasy within a busy daily routine, while the feature film Ether (Vida Skerk, United Kingdom) follows a young couple whose suppressed tensions surface during a trip together. The programme concludes with Starling (Sara Grgurić, Croatia), a story of sisterhood, jealousy and the painful need for belonging.
