Tuškanac Visiting: La bola negra

Friday, 27 November 2026 at 9 pm

La bola negra
Directed by: Javier Ambrossi / Javier Calvo
Spain, France, 2026, Colour, 160'

Through three time periods — Republican Spain in 1932, wartime in 1937 and contemporary Spain in 2017 — the film weaves a mosaic of the lives of three young men bound by a lost work of Federico García Lorca.

La bola negra by directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi is a lavish historical spectacle about hidden histories and the connections between past and present, reality and fiction. The film caused a sensation at this year's Cannes Film Festival – its premiere was met with an 18-minute standing ovation, Calvo and Ambrossi won the Best Director award, and it won over critics with its ambitious, cleverly told and emotionally engaging story. La bola negra also won the Cinema Network Award at the recent Pula Film Festival.

Tickets for the screening on 27 November 2026 at 9 pm can be purchased online HERE, as well as at the Surogatkino KIC box office before the start.
